.) When will they ever stop changing the titles to certain books. For instance, Daredevil got changed to Black Panther: The Man Without Fear but didn't start over at #1. No!, they just threw it right in with the mix. Like it's been there all along. This is not the first time that something like this has happened either. Didn't the Incredible Hulk series just recently get changed to The Incredible Hercules? Does anyone understand how hard that makes it for the collectors?
.) When will they ever stop messing with the numbering systems? For instance, The Invincible Iron Man went from #33 to #500. WHAT!?!?!? I may not have gone to the best school system in the country, but even I know that 500 does NOT come after 33. What happened to the other 466 books that should be between there?
.) Also, stop messing with volume numbers. If you're going to start a series with the same freakin' title as a book that's already been published, just pick up the numbering system and go from there. I don't need 3-4 sets of Avenger books with each set having just 12 books in it. IMO there should only be one volume of Avengers and we should be up to around issue 700 by now!
.) One-shots!? Don't even get me started on one-shots. Most of these books should not even be printed to begin with. A lot of the times they don't even contain stories that have to do with the rest of the going-ons. It's just another way for publishers to yank another $5 a pop out of your wallet. If they just absolutely need to be printed, they should be backup stories in the regular series. Or, has anyone heard of Annuals before. Whatever happened to those? I used to look forward to my yearly annual. It was a great way to tie up any loose ends that took place in the previous 12 issues, wipe the slate clean, and start fresh with the next regular issue. Also, it was great to see when all the Annuals had stories that connected together. That was the way to get readers to buy your books. Maybe someone should take a look at some of the things that worked in the '80s. You know, when comic books were comic books?
.) Despite all the reboots, title changes, and numbering changes, there are those titles that they refuse to cancel or reboot. Two of DCs main titles come to mind; Batman and Detective Comics. Why is this? Both titles have had there fair share of crap stories over the years. How is it that they can stand the test of time, yet others have been laid to waste? What is it that makes them so powerful? Is it because both books have the same main character? That can't be it. In recent years past, there have been plenty of other "Bat Books" to get the axe. I don't get it.
